Your Role and Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering essential diagnostic tests, and crafting bespoke care plans
• Assessing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in partnership with physicians or independently, based on your credentials
• Guiding patients and families in prevention, wellness strategies, and disease management
• Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies within your scope of practice
• Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management

• Accurately documenting patient interactions in electronic medical record systems

Essential Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited institution
• Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Louisiana
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent in a specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the capacity to obtain them within 90 days)
