Looking for an exciting transition in an outpatient surgical center? Come join our dynamic team as an OR Circulator. The registered nurse is responsible for overseeing the care throughout the intraoperative phase of surgery. The circulator will serve as the patient advocate, maintaining a safe surgical environment and collaborates with the surgical team to ensure the safety and well being of the patient. Responsibilities include positioning the patient, assisting with the setting up of the OR room and equipment, preparing medications and solutions needed for the operation. As the circulating nurse you will serve as an integral part of the surgical team caring for patients as they undergo their procedures. Other essential duties and responsibilities would include:

• Verifying patient identity, allergies, surgical procedure, consent, participating in the surgical time out
• Assist with safe patient transferring, positioning, pressure point positioning, grounding devices, and other required safety measures
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity and serve as patient advocate
• Monitor and promote adherence to aseptic and sterile technique
• Document intraoperative record accordingly and adhere to Center's policies and procedures
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and maintain the primary responsibility in ensuring patient safety.
• Maintain professional license(s), certifications, education and annual competencies.
• Safely transport the patient to the PACU area and provide an accurate and complete handoff to the PACU RN
• Assist in room turn over wile ensuring that appropriate environmental cleaning is in line with infection control guidelines
• Exhibit a professional, positive and team player attitude
